Details
[Edit]Ike and Tina Turner's recording history was so complicated during the '60s that it is extremely difficult to trace the recordings found in this completely undocumented disc. Aural evidence alone suggests that these are original studio recordings of such songs as "A Fool in Love," "So Fine," "I've Been Loving You Too Long," "The Hunter" and "Bold Soul Sister," all of which placed in the R&B charts between 1960 and 1969. At a guess, the source is vinyl, with the resulting tracks put through some sonic improvement technology. The result doesn't sound half bad, and certainly Tina Turner's performances remain fiery. This is not the ideal source for the Turners' '60s recordings, but it is an adequate sampler.
