Details
[Edit]Tom T. Hall returned to recording in 1996 with Songs from Sopchoppy, his first collection of new, original material in ten years. While it had its moments, the album wasn't a return to form, and its sequel, Homegrown, wasn't either. However, it is closer to classic Hall than its predecessor. The production on Homegrown is simpler than on Sopchoppy, helping to bring his songs to the forefront. Unfortunately, only a handful of songs are up to Hall's standards, but that's enough to make Homegrown worthwhile for dedicated fans.
