[Edit]In a rare instance of Tommy Makem stepping away from the Clancy Brothers, this set had him collaborating with guitarist and banjo player Eric Weissberg to good effect. The sparse arrangements help to bring out the qualities of the tunes themselves, with some of the traditional songs getting very dramatic readings. It remains a shame that Makem did not step out on his own more often.
