Details
[Edit]Tommy Roe's greatest sides were his early rockabilly singles for the Mark IV and Judd label, including the tougher, original version of his first big hit, "Sheila." Unfortunately, none of those are here, but everything else is, including the recut hit version of "Sheila" and teenybop favorites like "Sweet Pea," "Dizzy," "Hooray for Hazel," and "Jam Up and Jelly Tight." His 11-year run on the Billboard charts pretty much covers the 18 tracks collected here, a blend of Southern rock & roll and unabashed pop, with Roe responsible for penning a dozen of the biggies aboard. Until his early rockin' sides resurface on compact disc, here's all the Tommy Roe you'll ever need for the collection.
