Details
[Edit]Fusing bluegrass with pop and jazz, this band has developed an admirable body of work, here represented on a nice single disk compilation. Their sound bears a close kinship to David Grisman's "dawg music," with rambling, mandolin focused tunes like "Lifeline" and "Steam" that work from the rock aesthetic more than folk. Perhaps the band's best asset is the sweet voice of vocalist/guitarist Dede Wyland.
