[Edit]Following up on their 2013 EP A New Nightmare and proving there's life after leaving ICP's Psychopathic label, The Darkness finds the like-minded Twiztid serving up that late-night chiller theater-styled rock-rap while expanding horrorcore with inspired stabs outside the genre. The pre-release teaser "A Little F****d Up" may have convincingly bounced and growled like the days when ICP were always at hand, but "Back to Hell" grinds slow and low like the group members just discovered Black Sabbath and Kyuss, a change that has done them good. No featured guests means Twiztid are out to stake their claim on their own strength, plus they handle some of the production, along with help from the aptly named the Dead Beatz plus frequent Tech N9ne producer Michael "Seven" Summers.
