Details
[Edit]As usual, this V-Disc collection is skimpy on annotations. It even misspells Vaughn Monroe's name as "Vaughan" throughout the album materials, including the cover. Fortunately, the 17-song collection is generous, as Monroe, one of the major singers and bandleaders of the '40s, was at his peak during the V-Disc period of World War II. So here we have versions of some of his biggest hits of the early part of the decade, including "There I Go," "Let's Get Lost," "There I Said It Again," "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow," as well as other recordings, some of which sound suspiciously like (and probably are) the original Bluebird and RCA Victor recordings.
