Details
[Edit]Reinvigorated after the very successful Los Fabulosos Cadillacs reunion tour, Vicentico released Solo un Momento in late 2010. The album, a collection of '60s beat-inspired songs, went on to surpass all expectations, remaining on the Top Five album chart for almost a year. Under the self-explanatory title of Solo un Momento en Vivo, its live counterpart appeared in May 2012. There is not much to be said about this proficient, if entirely predictable, affair — only that at least it should have been longer. Vicentico and his regular touring band perform nine out of the 13 tracks from Solo un Momento, but add only three other hits from his previous albums ("Los Caminos de la Vida," "Bajando la Calle," and "Si Me Dejan"), as well the old Los Fabulosos Cadillacs fan favorite "Basta de Llamarme Así," revamped as a country song. Solo un Momento en Vivo comes in two formats, as a CD/DVD or just the DVD, and that should indicate what is actually the focal point of this release: the beautiful natural setting where the concert took place. Vicentico performs at the terraces overlooking the Paraná River in the city of Corrientes, just in time to see the sunset over the river color the world with a sepia tone, much in sync with the nostalgia-tinged material of Solo un Momento.
