[Edit]Nicknamed "El Piruli," Victor Yturbe began his career as a singer when he was injured while performing at a water show in Acapulco; with some time on his hands, he took a shot at performing in his hotel's cocktail lounge and was an instant hit. Decades after his death in 1987, listeners still remember Yturbe's versatile voice and passionate vocal style; this two-disc set features many of his biggest hits, and offers a fine introduction to an artist whose creative legacy still matters.
