[Edit]Walter Jackson had a resonant, impressive voice and was a superb ballad singer. He was at his soulful peak in the '60s, when he was cutting classy singles for the Okeh label that never got noticed outside the soul world, but were major party hits within it. This was one of his finest works, even though much of the material is repetitive; his treatments made everything viable.
