[Edit]White Denim's 2014 Pretty Green EP features the Austin band's title-track single in its original format, as well as reworked as an acoustic country rambler and as an electro-infused dub-reggae cut. Also included is the previously unreleased track "Looking for a Place to Start." Pretty Green EP comes on the heels of the band's superb 2013 full-length studio album, Corsicana Lemonade. As with that album, Pretty Green EP showcases the band's rootsy, punk-influenced, and often psychedelic-tinged rock sound. Think the Allman Brothers if produced by the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne and you won't be far off. Although the bulk of Pretty Green EP comprises the same song re-envisioned twice, the versions are so uniquely conceived, and so deftly illuminate White Denim's eclectic influences, that most fans will want to check this out.
