[Edit]Incredibly, blending traditional Korean music influences into the songs of vocalist Haena Kim results in a sound uncannily like the Creatures' earliest recordings (yes, the Siouxsie Sioux band). But Tongue Bath still has just enough vocalizing, dynamics, and momentary unravelings to shield it from being deemed "too pop" by some Tzadik fans, and features the interesting Kim posing as a coy vamp while taking listeners through her enjoyably dramatic songs of emotional exorcism.
