[Edit]Compilation of some of Zé Ramalho's hits, comprising of originals ("Admirável Gado Novo," "Frevo Mulher," "Avohai," "Galope Razante") and other composers' tunes. Includes important northeastern classics by several fundamental composers — Luiz Gonzaga, Gordurinha, and João do Vale — selections by newer northeastern composers — "Disparada" and "Fica Mal Com Deus" — and songs by Robertinho de Recife, Fagner, Belchior, and others. Pay attention to "Mucuripe," the first success of Fagner's career, recorded by Elis Regina. Its was credited by Fagner and Belchior as being their composition, but, in fact, it is a Henrique Vogeler original, over 70 years old. Excellent choice of repertoire.
