[Edit]Zingaia is Michael Breene and Katlyn Breene. David Gordon and Steve Gordon, mainstays at Sequoia Records, co-produced Beneath the Veil with Michael Breene. Katlyn Breene wrote the lyrics and the text for the liner notes, providing the etymology of each composition. This is a set of rhythmic world music inspired by Middle Eastern mysticism. Katlyn's beautiful voice invokes warmth, harmony, and love. The atmospheric soundscape is mostly acoustic. Michael composed and performed the music. This is an enjoyable CD that will appeal to fans of Natacha Atlas, Vas, Sheila Chandra, Yungchen Lhamo, and Rasa.
