Offering up a faith-based take on teen power pop titans like Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Katy Perry, Nashville's 1 Girl Nation infuse the contemporary pop gusto of One Direction with the message of tobyMac. Formed in 2012 around the talents of Lauryn Taylor Bach, Lindsey Ciresi, Carmen Justice, Kayli Robinson, and Kelsey Sowards, all of whom had experienced varying levels of success on their own before coming together under the 1 Girl Nation moniker, the quintet inked a deal with the Provident imprint Reunion Records the following year, and released their eponymous debut album that August.
