Amsvartner

Swedish teen black metal band Amsvartner was formed in late 1994 by bassist Albin Johansson and his twin brother Alfred (drums), both all of 12 years old at the time; co-founding guitarist Jonathan Holmgren was only two years older. Originally dubbed Awakening, the group's line-up was complete with the additions of the twins' older brother Marcus on vocals and Daniel Nygaard on guitar, and in the autumn of 1995 they recorded their first demo. A second Amsvartner demo, Underneath the Thousand Years Gate, was recorded a year later, and in 1999 the band issued their proper debut Trollish Mirror. Dreams followed later that same year.
