Biography
[Edit]...And Oceans assembled in 1995 out of scattered components from Finland's black metal scene, and made its official debut with 1998's Dynamic Gallery of Thoughts (Season of Mist); The Symmetry of 1 - The Circle of O followed a year later. ...And Oceans jumped to Century Media for 2001's A.M. G.O.D.: Allotropic/Metamorphic-Genesis of Dimorphism, and got the word out by supporting Marduk, Vader, and Mortician on a European tour. Cypher followed in June 2002; it was the best example yet of the group's ambitiously bleak mix of grind, thrash, symphonic, and ambient textures. In addition to their work with ...And Oceans, the band's members moonlighted in happy-go-lucky acts like Rotten Sound, Deathbound, and 6 Billion Ways to Die.
