Automatic Slim is a New York City combo comprised of bassist Richard Valdmanis, drummer Walker Pettibone, and singer/guitarist Gelu Sulugiuc. Their chemistry is a unique one, if only because each member hails from a different country (Valdmanis is from Canada, Sulugiuc is from Romania, and Pettibone is from the United States). Their debut album, Daisy Cutter, was released in the summer of 2002. Valdmanis was replaced by Greta Brinkman for 2005's Automatic Slim.
