Born in South Virginia, jazz crooner Buck Evans honed his craft everywhere from New Orleans and Bourbon Street, to the Eastern Seaboard of Boston, Baltimore, and Cape Cod. In 1971, the singer relocated to Skagway, AK, and continued to perform in the area and the Canadian North. In 1996, he recorded with the Brahmin Bellhops and released Who's She Jazzin' Now on Stomp Off Records. He has toured throughout Europe and Australia, and has a distinctive jazz style derived from the '20s and '30s. In 2001, Evans released Nize Baby on Burn Barrel Records.
