Biography
[Edit]Clare Quilty was a Charlottesville, VA-based combo that flavored its alternative grooves with touches of electronica and trip-hop. Featuring the vocals of Jenn Rhubright, the band also included guitarist Michael Rodi, bassist Chris Ruotolo, and drummer Jimmy J. Amburgey. Suga-Lik, their debut, dropped in 1997 on Washington, D.C., indie Dcide; in March of the following year the album saw national release through the label's new WEA distribution deal. Strong appeared in 2000, and in 2003 Clare Quilty returned with Tremble, an EP featuring dance remixes of the title track, which was culled from the forthcoming album, Face the Strange.
