Biography
[Edit]Havana-based Conjunto Folclorico Nacional de Cuba is a local folkloric ensemble founded in 1960 by Teresa González to collect and study Afro-Cuban culture, acting as ambassador while touring around the world. Sposored by Cuban government, Conjunto Folclorico Nacional de Cuba recorded Música Yaruba, internationally released in June of 1996. In 2000, musician and ethnologist Juan García Fernandez became its director.
