Biography
[Edit]Cuts is the audio-visual project of multi-instrumentalist/producer/engineer Nadav Katz, who began his career in music in 1999. Over the years he's worked as a sound engineer, programmer, and mastering engineer, contributing to releases on labels such as YoYo Records and Aleph Zero. As a musician, Katz collaborated with Barak Rozen as Feedel and with Eitan Reiter as Unoccupied; the latter project released an album, Cup of Water, in 2008. His first work as Cuts, 2011's Hold the Sun, drew comparisons to Zero 7, Air, and Massive Attack. Katz signed to Invada Records, the label owned by Portishead's Geoff Barrow, and the ominous-sounding EP 1 — which was released as a limited-edition VHS cassette as well as on vinyl — appeared in 2014.
