Biography
[Edit]Taking an abrasive, distorted approach to electronic music, Dan Friel picks up from where the experimental lo-fi noise of his former band Parts & Labor left off, using vintage synthesizers wired through guitar pedals and crusty drum machines for his solo project. After Friel signed to the left-of-center Chicago label Thrill Jockey, the Valedictorian/Exoskeleton EP was released in 2012, followed by his first full-length, Total Folklore, in 2013.
