Biography
[Edit]Gifted bassist Decebal Badila was born in Constantia, Romania, in 1968. He took up musical studies at the University of Bukarest and first trained in acoustics. Later he moved to Cologne, Germany, and switched over to jazz bass. In 1997, Badila recorded his rhythmic debut album, Nothing But Bass, under the BSC Music label. "Holiday Fever," "Sad Song," "Green Fields, Blue Sky, Red Car," and "After the Rain" are some of the instrumental bass tracks you will find on this noteworthy debut.
Badila has performed at numerous concerts, festivals, and television appearances, as well as being listed in the credits as bassist on a number of albums with other artists, including a group called Backstreet, adding his astounding soloing technique to many numbers. He has also worked with the SWR Big Band and been featured on various artists albums like Who's Afraid of the Big Bass?!?
