Biography
[Edit]An avant-garde musician, multi-instrumentalist, author, and performer of French origin, Dominique Grimaud (sometimes known as "Grimo") made his first waves as a member of Camizole, a group that formed in 1970 and released its sole recording in 1977. From there, Grimaud went on to form the experimental duo Vidéo Aventures with Monique Alba in 1978. That pairing released three works, before Grimaud shifted focus and spent a good part of the '90s working with the group Peach Cobbler. In addition to his solo work, Grimaud has also worked and performed with Guigou Chenevier and Gilbert Artman, as well as having contributed to musical journals and authored his own books. His 1999 audiovisual installation work Slide made a number of appearances in France. In 2008, Grimaud released the Native American tribute CD Les Quatre Directions.
