Biography
[Edit]Mixing tech-house, garage, electro, and whatever other styles he chooses, Canadian producer David Psutka offers genre-defying electronic music when he works under the name Egyptrixx. Based out of Toronto, Psutka launched the project in 2008 with the album It's Always Places Like This, a ghetto-tech and bass-oriented release that featured a guest spot from the legendary Dance Mania producer DJ Slugo. His 2010 EP Battle for North America found him on the Aaahh! Real Monsters label and pleasing the dubstep crowd with deep bass, while that same year his Chrysalis Records EP arrived on the RCRD LBL imprint with vocals from Trust (Robert Alfons) and more indie electronic-oriented tones. In 2011, the Night Slugs label released the techno and electro-filled album Bible Eyes, while 2012 saw him partner with former Thrush Hermit member Ian McGettigan for their project Hiawatha and their album Language. In 2013, he returned to work as Egyptrixx with the release of the single "Water" and the album A/B Til Infinity.
