Jim Ferguson is an unexpected combination of singer and (upright) bass player. He played bass for country singer Crystal Gayle's '90s recordings, and by the end of the decade released his own swing jazz release, Not Just Another Pretty Bass, from his home base of Nashville, TN. The even more enjoyable Deep Summer Music followed a year later.
