Biography
[Edit]Born in Sarnia, Ontario, Kyp Harness has slowly worked his way into the Canadian music scene. In the 1991 he released a self-produced cassette, Nowhere Fast; his first CD release followed a year later with God's Footstool. His music found an appreciative audience at folk clubs and colleges across Canada with a small underground audience that appreciated his mixture of sensitive, touching ballads, and acerbic wit. In 1994 he released Welcome to the Revolution, which spawned a few regional hits and was his most commercially successful album to date. After a six-year hiatus, he returned with Houdini in Reverse, which showed a kinder, gentler yet still very sharp Harness at work.
