Lee Gamble

Initially from Birmingham, the London-based producer and DJ Lee Gamble first emerged from the jungle scene, DJ'ing on pirate radio stations and as a founding member of the CYRK collective. He took his early influences and developed his sound productions with an experimental twist, releasing a record on the Entr'acte label and the 2006 album 80mm O!I!O, 2009's Join Extensions album, and a 2010 cassette with the musician Yutaka Makino. The deconstructed jungle album Diversions 1994-1996 was released to critical acclaim in 2012, featuring on The Wire and Fact magazines' year-end lists. For his full-length, Gamble's creativity once again changed, with the reverberating, techno-charged Dutch Tvashar Plumes. For DJ sets Gamble tends to play house and techno or a fully vinyl jungle set from what he calls "The Golden Age of Jungle." In 2014, he released Koch, on Pan Records, which sees a development on his take on techno with a 16-track album.
