Biography
[Edit]Anyone lucky enough to stumble across Little Buster's 1995 debut album for Bullseye Blues might well have been asking themselves, "Where's this guy been all this time?" The answer: for the last three decades or so, the blind guitarist has been serving up his soulful brand of blues around his adopted home of Long Island, NY, with his band, the Soul Brothers.
Edward "Little Buster" Forehand was born on September 28, 1942 in Hereford, NC. He left the North Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind when he was 16 years old, moving to New York and breaking into the local R&B scene almost immediately. Buster recorded sparingly during the '60s, waxing the Doc Pomus-penned "Young Boy Blues" for Jubilee in 1967. But the world-at-large remained ignorant of Buster's impressive command of the soul and blues lexicons until 1995, when Right on Time! blew onto the contemporary scene like an unexpected breath of fresh air. Looking for a Home followed in 1997. While his recorded output has unfortunately been sparse, Buster continues to tour consistently playing clubs and festivals throughout the world. ~ Bill Dahl & Al Campbell, Rovi
