Biography
[Edit]Puerto Rican los Hijos de los Celebres (Celebrity Sons) was formed in the late '90s to pay tribute to local stars Ismael Rivera (also known as El Sonero Mayor), Pellín Rodríguez, and Andy Montañez. Their sons — Ismael Rivera Jr., Puchy Rodríguez, and Andicito Montañez — made their debut in 1998 with an album released by Musical Productions. Mainly focused on the local rhythms guaracha, bomba, guaguancó, and plena, Homenaje A Los Cuartetos y Sextetos followed in 2001.
