Biography
[Edit]A wily hardcore punk rock trio with a penchant for dialing in thick blasts of vintage Metallica and Mudhoney, Nirvana, and Dinosaur Jr.-era grunge, Brooklyn's Low Fat Getting High describe their sound as "post-noise-grunge-core-shredding." Formed in 2011, the band consists of frontman/guitarist Michael Sincavage, bass player Artie Tan, and drummer Kaleen Reading, all of whom were frustrated N.Y.C. musicians that met via classified ads on Craigslist. The trio released their debut EP, Bad Yoga, in 2013, followed by an eponymous full-length outing in 2014, the latter of which arrived via the Brooklyn-based indie label Money Fire Records.
