Award-winning Christian writer and pastor Max Lucado has written 17 books, has sold over 11.5 million copies of his works and presides over the Oak Hills Church of Christ in San Antonio, Texas. From 1985's On the Anvil to 1999's The Great House of God, Lucado's books present the Bible's teachings in a clear, tangible manner that has won him widespread popularity. This last book was translated into an album, Opening Windows, which featured insights from the text plus contemporary praise and worship songs sung by a congregational choir. When Christ Comes followed in 1999 and He Chose the Nails came a year later.
