Biography
[Edit]Cut from the same experimental, psych-pop cloth as bands like Yeasayer, Grizzly Bear, and Animal Collective, Brooklyn, New York-based indie rockers Monogold formed in 2007 as a four-piece, and released their debut album Waves. The band went for a more minimalist approach on their next project, the Spin-approved, 2009 EP We Animals. The newly minted trio of Keith Kelly, Jared Apuzzo, and Mike Falotico further refined their signature blend of ambient, new wave psychedelic indie pop on their 2011 full-length release, The Softest Glow.
