Naytronix

Naytronix is a solo alias of Nate Brenner, a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer known for playing bass for Merrill Garbus' tUnE-yArDs. In May 2012, Brenner's Naytronix released a self-titled four-track EP containing a cover of Janet Jackson's "What Have You Done for Me Lately." He followed it two months later with the full-length Dirty Glow, a playfully sprawling mish-mash of primitive electronic pop, ramshackle disco-funk, and skewed chamber pop. Garbus, a horn section, and a few other instrumentalists pitched in while Brenner performed the bulk of the music, from bass to drums to keyboards. The album, like the EP, was issued on the Plug Research label.
