Biography
[Edit]Metalcore band Neshamah are based in Cape Town, South Africa, and have been active since circa the year 2000, at which time they more strongly resembled a straight-up hardcore outfit. Devout Catholics all (their name is the Hebrew term for "song of the soul"), vocalists Matt Hoyle and Ryan van Rensburg, guitarist Russel Aitkenhead, bassist Jen Roomes, and drummer Justin Kruger thus far have two albums (2001's As the Grass Withers So Its Flower Falls and 2004's Communicating in Heartbeats), one EP (2002's In My Heart), and a split release with labelmates Rapture of the Meek on their résumé.
