Biography

One of the most popular Zairean bands of the late '70s and early '80s, Orchestra Makassy served as the breeding ground for such future musical stars as guitarists Mose De Fan Fan and Remmy Ongala, who went on to form Orchestra Super Matamila. The group was rounded out by Kitenzogu "Professor" Makassy and Tshimanga Assosa.
