Elefante has performed with jazz trumpeter Roy Hargrove, saxophonist Pete Christlieb, and singer of prog rockers Kansas, John Elefante (he's also been voted one of the top U.S. bassists in Bass Player Magazine). Dixon has done numerous recording sessions for others, including saxophonist Richie Cole, the Untouchables, and War harmonica player Lee Oskar. Together as the Ron Kobayashi Trio, the outfit has played countless jazz festivals since the mid-'90s, issuing three releases thus far: 1999's Trio, 2000's Exotic Places, and 2001's No Preservatives.
