Biography
[Edit]Having spent most of the '90s wooing and winning over audiences in her native England, singer Ruthie Henshall made her Broadway debut in Kander & Ebb's Chicago in 2001. Her vocal skill was enchanting and impressive, leading to other career possibilities in America. She had guest spots on NBC's Law & Order and Mysteries of 71st Street for CBS; however, her hand in acting was temporary. Singing was Henshall's first love and England adored her. Her roles in A Chorus Line, Miss Saigon, and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats made her famous. In 2001, she was recognized as being the most popular musical actress of the last 21 years by the Theatregoers Club of Great Britain. Her musical ambitions continued to soar into the new millennium. In 2001, Henshall brought her music to another level by released her debut album Pilgrim.
