Biography
[Edit]They've been classified as post-dubstep and downtempo, but London, England's Stubborn Heart — Luca Santucci and Ben Fitzgerald — describe themselves as electronic soul. When they teamed up in 2010, Santucci already had a lengthy discography as a solo artist and collaborator; he recorded for the Cooltempo label during the early '90s and appeared on albums by As One (1997's Planetary Folklore, featuring an incredible turn on "Away from All of This"), Leila, Herbert, Playgroup, and Edwyn Collins. In 2011, he and Fitzgerald debuted as Stubborn Heart with "Need Someone," a white-label 12". A year later, after signing to One Little Indian, the duo released a self-titled album supported by BBC 6 Music DJ Gilles Peterson. In 2013, Stubborn Heart's eponymous debut was released in the United States.
