Zach Farlow

Wearing a hoodie and a close-cropped fraternity haircut, rapper Zach Farlow came on the scene at the same time as Macklemore, Hoodie Allen, and Chris Webby, but with his hardcore Southern style, his music made him seem more like a Gucci Mane mutation or some Atlanta trap rapper's protégé. Born in Nashville, Farlow didn't take music seriously until a long medical recovery (he had been stabbed while attempting to break up a robbery) kept him home and forced him to focus. After honing his skills, he moved to Atlanta in 2013, formed the Urban Angels Music Group, and with some help from family, bought Dallas Austin's legendary DARP studio. A year later he dropped his mixtape The Great Escape, which featured the singles "D.R.U.G.Z." and "Get Rich, Get High."
