- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2011This is one of Jeff Johnson's best projects in my opinion. Not a lot of his own singing on this CD but that is sometimes a plus. Lots of soft, soothing harmony & melody. Superb recording quality which will bring out the best in a good hi-fi stereo system. This is a CD that you can listen to over and over from one week to the next and not get tired of hearing it. If you are looking for more of Jeff Johnson's CD then you can't go wrong with this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2014I have most of Jeff Johnson and Brian Dunning's CD's. This is in the three star range. Most of the melodies are very similar, and there's very little variety between the songs. I hate to say it, but this is not one of their better CD's. It has a beautiful cello solo in track 4. I love their music as a general rule, but I don't listen to this very often. There is lots of vocalizations (not actual singing with words), but a woman vocalizing. Similar melodic patterns throughout...

- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2005You must give yourself the opportunity to hear this album. Listening to 'Voice o' the Irish' is a powerful and emotive experience. This music gets better and better with every listening, like all good music should. Get a copy today and listen to 'Roma' and 'Truth against the World'. The violin on 'Truth' and vocal parts throughout the disc by female vocalist extraordinaire, Janet Chvatal are well worth it. Life is too short and if you haven't stopped to smell the roses lately, pick up a Jeff Johnson and Brian Dunning release. You'll thank me. Better yet - thank God.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2003This is a great CD which melds all the talents of Jeff Johnson's elite force of gifted musicians. I've got about 25 Jeff Johnson CDs and of the 10 or so instrumental CDs, this one is his best to date. If you like Enigma, Enya or Moodswings, then this CD is a must. It's sort of an ambient, Celtic, techno mix of flutes, violins, cellos, acoustic guitars, keyboards and haunting wordless vocals by angelic soprano, Janet Chvatal. Tracks 1 and 2 are the best!
