Hands down this was one of my favorite albums as a kid! Right up their with Paul McCartney’s “Flaming Pie” and Paula Cole’s “This Fire”, I played this til I needed a new CD of it. Was so stoked to find it on Vinyl.

It’s always intrigued me when the masses miss out on a great album, movie or other media, and this IMO is was certainly one. Totally underrated, but such a great album songwriting, composition, production and vocal wise.

My favorite K.D. Lang album for sure!

KD is bleeding on each of these tracks. Whomever she's singing about or has in mind when she delivers her lyrics is in for the time of her life. The songs are passionate but confident at the same time. She sings about exactly what she wants and what she wants to do with you WITHOUT the '..or I'll die' vibe that might otherwise make it easier to dismiss. This is a women confident in herself with the 'coming out' process behind her. I'm a straight guy so the song lyrics are inspirational in how to approach someone you want time with. The whole 'desperate love' thing can sound a little creepy, if not rapey, in the wrong hands. KD Lang sings for us the difference between 'desperate' and 'desirous'. The love interest of these songs will heat up with each chours or you should check their pulse! Invite a person you want to be with over, pour a couple drinks, soften the lighting and say 'I'd like you to hear something'.

Enjoyed the cd. If you are a Lang follower, it's worth having in your collection. Each CD Lang creates takes you on a journey. This one is on a physical, personal nature.

I listened to this after Ingenue. I had to listen to it a couple of times to get into it because it's very different. It's a very good album; the tunes are gentle to hear, the lyrics seem to express a positive, hopeful perspective, the songs seem to kind of chronicle the birth & growth of a romantic relationship. Definitely worth listening to, many times.

This is a really AMAZING album. First 5 songs all have a deep appreciation and personal connection to.

This album has been in my CD rotation since I got it.

I love every song on this album, even though kd herself has said it's her least favorite release to date. I like the pop feel to it and her voice is amazing. The songs speak to me and are super catchy.

Love kd Lang. best vocalist around. She is right up there with Streisand and the late Whitney Houston. Her voice is like a drug.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT SPLIT COLOURED VINYL!

5 stars for the music, but even though the sticker on the plastic wrap states
"limited edition on orange and yellow vinyl" what you get is just plain orange vinyl.
    Unless my copy is unique!

One of Lang's best works, although she herself disses it. A record of longing and wanting. Beautiful. One of my all time favourites.
