Details
[Edit]Big Walter Price's recordings for Huey Meaux are a much different affair from the rockin' blues sides he cut for Peacock in the early '50s. In search of the elusive hit, Price re-casts his sound on several of these sides in strong funk terms, loaded with wah wah effects and stinging guitar. However, tracks like "Diane, It's About Time," "If Blues Was Money," "Money Is the Root of All Evil," and "The Answer to Staggerlee" hearken back to his original style. An uneven set, at best.
